| 特异性 | Treatment is often required to enable detection of Lipocalin-2 protein due to its low endogenous expression levels. Various stimuli, such as LPS, antimycin A, and folic acid (FA), have been reported to induce Lipocalin-2 expression (PMID: 34789720, 34392303, 36923935). However, the protein level of induction may vary depending on the treatment duration and reagent concentration.In addition, Lipocalin-2 is a secreted protein and may be released into the culture medium in cell-based experiments. Therefore, it is recommended to analyze both culture supernatants and whole-cell lysates when assessing Lipocalin-2 expression. Alternatively, cells may be treated with brefeldin A (BFA) to inhibit protein secretion and facilitate intracellular detection of Lipocalin-2. |
