狂犬G蛋白是病毒包膜的唯一蛋白组成,是决定RV致病性的主要因素,也是唯一的刺激机体产生中和抗体的抗原,并与病毒的出芽有关。作为中和抗原,G蛋白也被用于检测动物体中的中和抗体,评价疫苗的有效性。
